Hair...ya know...it's what's on your head...

I was thinking and contemplating where the idea of cosmetology came from...why I decided this is the thang for me!
It was mostly my ex.
I knew (for personal reasons) that I would have to work the rest of my life. Even though I wanted so badly to be a stay at home mom, I knew that it wouldn't be possible if I were to marry my ex.
So I started to look around at what jobs would be fun and easy to do while being a mom...somthing flexable.
I played with the idea of a school teacher, but learned that I can't handle kids for that long in a small inclosed space.
(learned this from my semester of "student teaching" at Snow)
So that was out of the question.
Don't get me wrong! I LOVE KIDS!!! Just not teaching them...playing with them.
So one saturday I went to the Lovely Jessica for a haircut. She has an AWESOME salon in the basement of her home. She is able to be a stay at home mom while doing hair.
I thought as I watched her 'maybe I can do this...'
So that Monday I went onto SLCC website and began doing research on Cosmetology and Barbering...
Ever since that moment I have ABSOLUTLY loved hair! I can't get enough of it! I wish I could do it all the time!
Since starting in Aug. 2010 I have broken things off with the ex but I am still finishing my license. Now I am doing it for me! NO one else! The man that I marry may have a wounderful job that allows me to stay home with our kids...but I still want to do hair from my home...it's an AWESOME feeling chainging the life of someone through hair!!!!

Hungar Games

I just finished the hungar games and can I tell you it was AMAZING! It was totally not what I thought it would be...If you haven't heard of them let me clue you in :)

And PS they are makinga movie next year...not sure how I feel about this since the wreck of the Twilight series.....

Hagga Mattress sale turned into Mattress Warehouse sale :)

Well Hagga Mattress pretty much only had crap. There I said it. Crap!
The mattress's in my price range were rocks. OUCH! So I went to Mattress Warehouse and boy am I glad I did!!!
They gave me a KILLER deal on a Pillow top no name mattress!!!! $399 for the set. It was better then a simmons that we tried out before at Ashley Furniture. And A TON cheaper!!!! :)

Wanna hear a great mattress shopping story???
So When the manager told me what the price of the mattress set would be and after I tried it out I decided that I wanted it so...
We start the paperwork...
The salesman calls over to the warehouse to make sure they have it (and they did)
Warehouse man finds out how much the Manager sold set for and asks to speak with the manager.
So Salesman put Warehouse man on speaker phone so everyone can hear.
Warehouse man: "DON'T GIVE IT TO HER AT THAT PRICE!!!!"
Manager: "Your on speaker phone!!"
Warehouse man silent...knowledge that customer's heard what he said: "Tell them they are getting a killer deal."
Manager: "Don't tell me how to run my store!"
Manager slams phone shut HARD and tosses it on the desk.
Me sitting on chair at desk hearing every word.
hahahahahahaha
And YES it was a killer deal :)

Hagga Mattress SALE!!!

So I sleep in a twin bed and even though the mattress is super comfy I need a bigger bed. It's just not comfy to sleep on a small bed and almost fall out every night. Plus my feet hang over the end...awesome!
So my parents have this AWESOME old bed fram that is metal and tarnished!!! Super AWESOME!!!! but there is no mattress that fits. PS it's a full....not HUGE but better then my little twin bed.
So this weekend Hagga Mattress is having a sale...AND I AM GOING!!!! HOORAY!!!
I think it was a sign because I was thinking about asking if I could use it once my parents sell there house but once I asked the commercial came on right before I left for school...I believe it was a sign! That I should be able to find 2 and use the bed this weekend!!!!!!!! YAHOO!!! I hope I can find something for a good price :)
But does anyone know of a cheap mattress place just in case?

Honestly nothing much has been going on at school.
Being week 3 and after Memorial Day school has been so slow.
Not sure why...
I've done pretty much nothing this week besides my punches (for those of you who don't know what those are they are certain assignments like colors and up do's etc that have to be completed by mid-terms).
It kind of sucks but oh well.
I have 6 more left to do by 6/22 :) I am so proud of my self for getting them done so fast!!!

My mama and sista are coming in next week to get there hair did!!!! I'll post pics of there BEAUTIFUL hair!!!! :) Peace!

Naked much????

Yes I was recently naked at the airport.
Yep.

not really hahaha :)
but pretty darn close.
I decided that for memorial day weekend I wanted to join my mamasita and my sista in Las Vegas to visit some family!!
Well my mama and sista left friday afternoon at about 5ish.....lucky me I had work until 9 that night!
They were planning on spending the night in Cedar City then drive the rest of the way Saturday Morning.
So I decided to leave Salt Lake at 8:30 am Saturday morning and they would pick me up when they got to the airport.
Well I got to the airport at about 6:45-7:00 just in case I had to wait in the Memorial Day airport traffic.
First of all this was my first time going to the airport by myself.
In terminal 2.
That's when the fun began.
Well I'll admit it...I got lost.
Yep. Pretty much the smallest airport in the country and I get lost.
I couldn't find the security and side note....there are no signs that distingished where security is! How do they expect me to find it?!
After 5 minutes of walking around so lost and confused I saw a pilot :) so I followed him...lo and behold you have to go upstairs.
Duh!
So I hop in line (ps the guy checking my ID was very cute :)) and get checked with my ID.
I get in line and notice "THE NAKED MACHINE"
Yep it was right in front of me.
Dang.
So I put all my belongings in 2 totes and take off my shoes. And I get forced into "THE NAKED MACHINE" line.
Crap.
And of course with my luck there is a creepy bald white guy behind the screen watching my nakedness.
Awesome.
And of course you get to stand like a dumb with your legs streched far apart and your arms way above your head for 5 seconds.
Not long right?
WRONG when your NAKED!
Whatever happened to the right to privacy?
Well thanks to Osama that went out the window!
But I figure that a naked pic of me in a guys head for a minute is better then a full on hands on search...even more akward.
So watch out when you travel and be ready for...
